Margot Zarzycka - Founder

A Life Shaped by Music, Tradition, and Artistic Excellence

Violinist Margot Zarzycka is an internationally respected artist whose musical life began in the deeply rooted traditions of her family and homeland. Born and raised in Szczecin, Poland, she grew up in an environment where music was not merely an interest, but a way of life. Her father served as director of the city’s music conservatory, and her mother was a distinguished opera singer, ensuring that classical music surrounded her from her earliest years.

Margot began playing the violin at the age of three, demonstrating exceptional musical sensitivity and discipline almost immediately. Under careful guidance, her talent developed rapidly, and by the age of nine she began performing publicly alongside her father. These early concerts—sometimes before audiences exceeding 200 people—provided invaluable stage experience and quickly established her as a young artist of unusual promise. Even at this early stage, her musical maturity and expressive depth set her apart, and she soon became a sought-after performer in her region.

Her formative years in Poland were marked by intensive study, frequent performances, and a growing reputation as an artist grounded in tradition yet capable of remarkable emotional communication. This strong foundation ultimately opened the door to international study.

Margot’s journey to the United States began after she won a prestigious scholarship to Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, one of the world’s leading conservatories. There, she pursued advanced violin studies, refining her artistry under distinguished faculty and performing extensively as a soloist and orchestral musician. Her years at Indiana University further solidified her technical command, musical integrity, and professional stature.

Since settling in the United States, Margot Zarzycka has built a distinguished career as a performer, appearing regularly as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral violinist. For more than two decades she has been a member of the Sarasota Orchestra, where she is widely respected for her artistry, leadership, and dedication to musical excellence.

In addition to her orchestral work, Margot is deeply committed to cultural stewardship and education. Through her performances and curated concert series, she continues to honor her Polish heritage while sharing classical music’s timeless beauty with new generations of listeners.

Margot Zarzycka’s story—from her early beginnings in Poland to a life of performance in the United States—is one of tradition upheld, talent refined, and a lifelong devotion to the violin.
